Inside Secrets to Make Your Home Business Succeed

A Myspace Addict’s Dream Job

May 26th, 2008 · No Comments · Blog

Admit it, you’re addicted to Myspace, facebook, and all the other social networking sites. You’ve logged to check from work, it’s no secret. What if you could be on Myspace all day, and get paid for it? Well you can! And you can make it your own home business.

I was inspired to write this post because an ad agency I was working for started up a Myspace campaign to target a younger demographic. I ended up spending hours on Myspace (and getting paid for it). The campaign became a full time task and we eventually put out ads seeking “Myspace Gurus” to lead the way.

Many companies have realized the advertising power of social networking sites and are now launching huge ad campaigns. And these corporations need a savvy web 2.0 guru to lead these campaigns. That is where you come in.

As part of your work, you will probably be asked to create branded profile pages for companies and request friends. If you have programming abilities, you will have a great advantage because you can make facebook applications and Myspace widgets which can add to the effectiveness of a viral marketing campaign. Even if you don’t know how to code, you can use a widget wizard to make flash based applications very easily, such as Sproutbuilder.com.

Rather than waiting around for a company to put postings for a Myspace pro, why don’t you plant the seed in their minds and proactively seek them out? Create a professional profile highlighting your social network consulting services that you can offer. Then you can pitch the idea of an effective, low cost, viral marketing solution that they might not have considered before.

And one last thing. you make be asked to show your personal profiles on these sites as part of your resume. So make sure if it’s NSFW that you fix that ASAP.
